The European Parliament approved with a huge majority the Common Agricultural Policy reform (CAP). Assembly voted the five scripture with the new rules of CAP. We finally arrive at the end of the legal procedure for the review of one of the main important European balance sheet item.
The new guide line result more democratic also thanks to added value in terms of democracy and synthesis bring from European Parliament. From now, Agricultural Ministry will have the assignment to give direction to new CAP rules that, thanks to balance agreement, will guarantee to Italy 33,4 millions euro from European found during next seven years. To this quote we have to add National quote to arrive to a total amount at least of 52 billions euro.
The new CAP will be more green respect the previous one and it will introduce agricultural practice to respect the environment. Something like one third of direct payment of the EU to farmers will be subordinate to mandatory ecological standard. The new CAP is also addresses to young farmers (up to 40 years old) that start now to operate. In this case a growth of 25% is expect for EU payment for the first 25/90 hectares. Everything will be more equal also due to another reason, the payment will give to “active” farmers, people that real work the land. For the first time, companies that will receive more than 150.000 euro, will see their subsidy that overtake this limit reduced of 5%.
